The International Youth Competition of Startups in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry “ProHospitality2025” (hereinafter the Competition, the Competition Site) is held at several sites of the XV Eurasian Economic Youth Forum (hereinafter the XV EEYF) within the framework of the Congress of Entrepreneurship and Engineering.

The co-organizer of the Competition at the site of the North-West Federal District of the Russian Federation is the Western Branch of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (Kaliningrad).

The competition is held with the aim of activating the professional research activities of students, master's and postgraduate students of higher educational institutions and college students, gaining practical experience and skills in developing START-UP projects in the service industry of hospitality, food and tourism in the context of a service-oriented competitive market, as well as identifying and supporting talented youth, helping to form and promote youth tourism business projects, business projects in the hotel and restaurant industry and service business projects through interaction with industry professionals.

The tasks that the competition solves:

• identification of talented young people in the field of designing hospitality and food service enterprises, service and tourism industry;
• assistance in the formation and promotion of youth business projects through interaction with professional communities in the field of tourism and the hotel and restaurant business;
• increasing interest and involvement of young people (including students) in entrepreneurial activity, development and implementation of modern and innovative projects in the field of development of domestic and inbound tourism, the hospitality and food industry of the Russian Federation, including regional focus;
• popularization of tourism and recreational opportunities of the Russian Federation;
• support for scientific and practical development of talented youth in the service-oriented sphere of tourism, hospitality and food services.

Participants of the Competition: students, postgraduates, applicants for an academic degree, young researchers from universities, academic institutes, as well as employees of other interested organizations of the Northwestern Federal District of the Russian Federation aged 18 to 35 years.

The competition is held in the form of a presentation for examination and evaluation by leading practitioners, heads of enterprises in the hospitality and tourism industry, and government agencies of initiative projects for the implementation of business ideas, concepts for the creation and development of customer-oriented organizations in the HoReCa and tourism industries developed by the competition participants.

START-UP projects are initiated and developed by participants based on preliminary research and scientific understanding of existing real problems of development of the services market in the sphere of tourism, hospitality and food industry, as well as creative application of knowledge and skills in the areas of professional serviceological topics of the Competition. There is no registration fee for participation in the Competition.

Competition projects are submitted to the Competition in the following thematic areas:

1.tourism: projects, events, space;

2.Polycentrism of hospitality: from trends in the food industry to hotel business concepts.

Applications for participation in the Competition and competition works in the form of a START-UP project are submitted before March 20, 2025 through the registration system of the XV EEYF website (eurasia-forum.ru), choosing during registration: Site of the Northwestern Federal District of the Russian Federation - name of the Competition - name of the direction.

The experts of the Competition site select 1 best project in each direction of the Competition to participate in the International Final.

The lists of the winners of the Competition from the Northwestern Federal District of the Russian Federation will be published on the Competition page of the EEYF website from April 1 to 10, 2025.

The final defense of the work will take place on April 23, 2025 (10.30-15.00 Yekaterinburg time)

The author of the best project (team captain) of one of the areas of the Competition will be sent at the expense of the organizers of the XV EEYF to USUE (Yekaterinburg, Russia) for in-person participation in the International Final of the Competition and other final events of the XV EEYF.

The award ceremony for the finalists of the Site Competition and the finalists of the International Final of the Competition will take place on April 24, 2025, simultaneously (via video link) at two sites:

- at the main site of the XV EEYF at the Ural State University of Economics (hereinafter USUE), Yekaterinburg, Russia;

- at the site of the North-West Federal District of the Russian Federation XV EEYF in the Western branch of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, Kaliningrad.

All finalists of the Competition of the Northwestern Federal District of the Russian Federation will be awarded certificates and small orders of the "Star of Eurasia".

The winners of each of the three thematic areas of the international final of the Competition will be awarded diplomas, orders and cash prizes:

• 10,000 rubles - for 1st place for each of the 2 thematic areas
• 5,000 rubles - for 2nd place for each of the 2 thematic areas

The winners of the thematic areas of the international final of the Competition will be awarded diplomas and orders.

The winners of the Competition, awarded a 1st degree Diploma, are awarded points for individual achievements when applying for admission to study at USUE in master's programs (2 points).

Following the final events, it is planned to publish a collection of materials of the XV EEYF, where the abstracts of the finalists of the Competition will be posted. The collection will be posted in the Russian Science Citation Index and on the website of the Ural State University of Economics.
