The International Essay Competition for Young Scientists and Students “Modern Trends in World Economic Development” (hereinafter referred to as the Competition, the Venue Competition) is held at several venues of the XV Eurasian Economic Youth Forum (hereinafter referred to as the XV EEYF) within the framework of the Congress of Strategists.

The co-organizer of the Olympiad on the site of the Republic of Tajikistan is the Tajik National University, Dushanbe.

The aim of the Competition is to create a platform for young scientists and specialists, which provides an opportunity to discuss problems of improving the quality of training specialists, increasing the interest of young scientists and students in their chosen profession, identifying gifted youth and developing human resources for research, administrative, production and entrepreneurial activities.

Participants of the Olympiad of the site are students, master's students, postgraduates, persons interested in modern problems of economy and finance of the Republic of Tajikistan under 35 years of age.

Research papers (essays) are submitted to the Competition in the following areas:

1. "Digital transformation in the economy."
2. "Problems of ensuring Russia's technological sovereignty."
3. "Social problems of forming a new world order"

Applications for participation in the Olympiad are accepted until March 20, 2025 through the registration system of the XV EEYF website (eurasia-forum.ru), choosing during registration: Venue of the Republic of Tajikistan – name of the Competition (Olympiad).

The list of competition winners invited to defend their works in person and to participate in the final events of the Forum will be published on the competition page from April 1 to 10, 2025.

The International Final of the Competition will be held on April 23, 2025 from 10.30 to 15.00 (Yekaterinburg time) at the Ural State University of Economics, Yekaterinburg, Russia

The award ceremony for the finalists of the Site Competition and the finalists of the International Final of the Competition will take place on April 24, 2025, simultaneously (via video link) at two sites:

• at the main site of the XV EEYF at the Ural State University of Economics (hereinafter USUE), Yekaterinburg, Russia;
• at the site of the Republic of Tajikistan XV EEYF at the Tajik National University.

The winner and prize winners of the Competition will be awarded diplomas, orders and cash prizes:

• for 1 place - 15,000 rubles.
• for 2 place — 10 000 rubles
• for 3 place — 5 000 rubles

The award ceremony for all finalists will take place on April 24, 2025, simultaneously via video conference at USUE and the Tajik National University (the award ceremony time will be announced later).

The winner of the Olympiad, awarded a 1st degree Diploma, is awarded points for individual achievements when admitted to study at USUE in master's programs (2 points).

Following the final events, it is planned to publish a collection of materials from the XV EEYF, where essays from the finalists of the Competition will be posted. The collection will be posted in the Russian Science Citation Index.
