The principles of a multipolar world are to realize the youth

The opening ceremony began with a theatrical performance. The dance of several dozen children with flashlights and a model of the globe symbolized the endless outer space in which our planet is located - fragile and in need of human protection. A strong, agile and never discouraged person. The performance of acrobats and aerialists in national Russian costumes was such a striking contrast with the first number . Playful somersaults inspired the audience, and the wave of huge balls that swept through the auditorium united them with one warm joyful emotion. This is our forum many-sided, bright, memorable!

Many thousands of participants were welcomed by the rector of the Ural State University of Economics, chairman of the organizing committee of the Eurasian Economic Youth Forum Yakov Silin

“Dear forum participants, dear colleagues, today there are those who support our university and our country in an era of change, who are building a more just world,” he said to the audience. - EEYF has again united thousands of people from all over the world. And people from Russia, the Sverdlovsk region, Yekaterinburg are at the center of this association. Today, students from 68 countries of the world study only at our Ural State University of Economics. Many of them are in this room today. Having received an education, they will return home and will create the future of their own countries. Therefore, the future of all our states will depend on your proposals and ideas today.”

Plenipotentiary ambassadors of 36 states, cultural attaches, consuls, rectors of higher educational institutions took part in the ceremony. For the first time, the EEYF was attended by participants in the media forum “Work of the Media in the New Political, Economic and International Reality”. According to the words of Yakov Silin, the key component of success, which made it possible to hold the forum on such a scale, was the support of the Free Economic Society of Russia, the Eurasian Economic Community, representatives of authorities and the business community.

Boris Kirillov, the Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Ural Federal District also highly appreciated the EEYF: “This forum is rightfully considered a platform for dialogue between peoples and countries. And the future, as you know, belongs to the youth. And in this regard, the Eurasian Economic Youth Forum opens up truly unique opportunities for us.”

Alexei Orlov, the head of Yekaterinburg, delivered a welcoming speech to the participants of the XIII EEYF : “The scale of the forum is increasing year by year. And the Eurasian Economic Youth Forum is a unique platform where all of us – representatives of government, business and youth can come together to make the city where we all live better.”

Director of the Institute of Europe of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexei Gromyko presented data on changes in purchasing power parity in various countries of the world over the past decades. He noted that, in conjunction with the ongoing demographic processes, the focus of political influence in the world is increasingly changing from the shores of the Atlantic Ocean to the region of the so-called "global south" - Africa, the Middle East, India and Southeast Asia.
