Multipolarity – integration – dialogue of civilizations
Today, the grand opening of the 15th Eurasian Economic Youth Forum took place at the International Exhibition Center "Ekaterinburg-EXPO". The theme of the forum is "Eurasian Synergy: Multipolarity - Integration - Dialogue of Civilizations". The forum brought together almost 22 thousand people from 116 countries! Among them were schoolchildren, students, young scientists, diplomats, rectors and vice-rectors of universities in Russia and the CIS countries, and representatives of leading media outlets from several countries.
Thousands of spectators were greeted by the president of the Ural branch of the Free Economic Society of Russia, rector of Ural State University of Economics, chairperson of the Yekaterinburg Public Chamber, Yakov Silin.
"It is very important and significant for us that the anniversary of the Eurasian Economic Youth Forum is being held in the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland and on the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory of our people. Russia, with its rich experience of intercultural interaction and loyalty to the principles of justice, plays an important role in the formation of a multipolar world. A special role in the implementation of these tasks is given to you, young people, the future generation of leaders, scientists, entrepreneurs, and government officials. Your innovative thinking, energy and genuine interest in learning new things will undoubtedly make a significant contribution to the development of regions and continents. It is gratifying that the forum participants - scientists and experts, young researchers, specialists and practitioners, representatives of business community and, of course, government bodies - will discuss a timely, very important, extremely relevant for all of us topic of Eurasian synergy in the contest of multipolarity, integration and dialogue of civilizations. Dear friends, guests, experts and forum participants, today we are shaping a new reality!"
On behalf of the Presidential Envoy to the Urals Federal District, the guests and participants of the 15th EEYF were greeted by his deputy Boris Kirillov: "The Eurasian Economic Youth Forum is an event that today has a completely global character. It is of fundamental importance for discussing a wide range of questions. These are issues of economic policy, humanitarian issues and, most importantly, these are issues of implementing youth policy in all spheres and industries. We understand perfectly well that the future itself will depend on how young people understand their future!"
The chairperson of the Legislative Assembly of the Sverdlovsk region, Lyudmila Babushkina, noted that the Eurasian Economic Youth Forum is a unique event: "It unites intellectual youth, promotes the exchange of experience between members of the Eurasian community, primarily on issues of international cooperation,. We are proud that the forum is taking place in Yekaterinburg - a city located on the border of Europe and Asia that rightfully claims the title of the student capital of Russia. More than 125,000 students receive training here."
First Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk region, Alexey Shmykov, explained that the forum is acquiring special significance.
"We live in an era of global change, when international cooperation is becoming a key factor in the successful development of society. The Eurasian Economic Youth Forum sets a platform for a dialogue between young specialists from different countries, and contributes to the formation of a common vision of the future of the Eurasian economic space. The Sverdlovsk region is open to new ideas and is ready for dialogue on the implementation of promising initiatives aimed at strengthening economic cooperation between our regions and countries. Let this forum be the beginning of a long journey," Alexey Shmykov addressed the participants of the Eurasian Economic Youth Forum.
On behalf of Yekaterinburg mayor, the head of the Yekaterinburg administrative office Marina Fadeeva addressed the participants of the Eurasian Economic Forum: "The Eurasian Economic Forum originated in Yekaterinburg. And the fact that today the forum is being held not only at the Congress Center, but also in 14 foreign municipalities, indicates that the unanimity of views of young people unites our countries and our cities. The scale of the event is impressive! The city of Yekaterinburg really deserves it!"
Metropolitan Yevgeny of Yekaterinburg and Verkhoturye is participating in the EEYF for the third time: "I have the honor of participating in this forum, the main goal of which can be formulated in such important, confident and reliable words that in contemporary context one would like to hear more and more often. Not only to hear, but also to observe. These words are cooperation and collaboration. Share, evaluate, learn, accept, and unite! Rahman Mustafayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Russian Federation, is participating in EEYF for the first time: “The topics that are on the agenda today as the slogan of this forum are of great importance for establishing a fair world order concerning multipolarity, integration, and dialogue of civilizations. I call on young people to play an active role in all these areas. Azerbaijan is ready to receive you and ready to share its experience with you.”
Valery Chereshnev, Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, chairperson of the Joint Academic Council of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences for medical sciences, spoke about the importance of talented youth: “I am convinced that the main reason for all adventures is intelligence. The intelligence is the basis of everything. And luminous intellect is the main force of world history. How can we ensure that luminous intellect is widely spread among all segments of population, especially among young people? But it is luminous intellect that is the guarantee that young people will fulfill all the hopes, all the orders, all the dreams that society, family, people, and homeland place on them. Good luck!”
Besides, welcoming addresses were made on behalf of the president of the Free Economic Society of Russia, Sergei Bodrunov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Alexander Pankin, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, head of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation, Yevgeny Primakov, and head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, Grigory Gurov.
Many countries have been cooperating with USUE within the framework of the EEYF for several years. The rector of the university Yakov Silin presented the award "For long-term cooperation with EEYF" to the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to the Russian Federation, Mr. Juan Genaro del Campo Rodriguez.
The plenary session of the Eurasian Economic Youth Forum ended with a festive concert, in which guests of Yekaterinburg from 116 countries of the world were greeted by creative groups of the Ural capital.
