The XIV Eurasian Economic Youth Forum, organized by Ural State University of Economics, took place from April 22 to 26. In 2024, the theme of the EEYF was “Russia - Eurasia – the World. Integration - Development - Perspective.”
This year, the geography of the forum has scaled up: from South America to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Over 17,000 persons from 114 countries and 81 regions of Russia visited EEYF. They comprised around 10,500 participants in scientific competitions, almost 800 experts, representatives of 152 universities, editors of 46 media outlets in Russia and abroad, and officials of diplomatic missions of 45 countries. The forum drew active attention of representatives of government authorities and scientific and business communities.
Apart from Ural State University of Economics, EEYF was held at 11 largest universities in Kaliningrad, St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, Minsk, Baku, Astana, Almaty, Bishkek, Osh, Tashkent, and Dushanbe.
The XIV EEYF program included 50 competitions within 6 congresses, a forum of rectors, a media forum, two forums of diplomats, the 5th rapid chess tournament “Ural Queen”, and the festival of cultures “Around the World”, exhibitions, and other events. For the second time, they held a media forum with the participation of leading media from Russia and the CIS countries, a sambo tournament, and the competition “I Am an Artist. The UN Sustainable Development Goals through the Eyes of Youth.” For the first time, a competition of business projects for schoolchildren “I Am an Entrepreneur” was held. The grand opening of the forum again took place at an international venue - the Ekaterinburg-EXPO International Exhibition Center and attracted about 5 thousand spectators.
Over 1,400 EEYF contestants reached the finals. Above 300 of them have received awards and recognition of their scientific and intellectual achievements at the international level. The award ceremony took place simultaneously at all forum sites in real time with an online broadcast.
The XIV EEYF became the largest in the forum's history.
