XV EEYF
The 15th Eurasian Economic Forum will be held from 21 to 25 April 2025. This year, its theme is "Eurasian Synergy: Multipolarity - Integration - Dialogue of Civilizations". The forum promises to be the largest in its history: this year, 21,887 registered participants will represent almost entire Russia (86 regions) and 115 countries of the world.
On the first day of the forum, at the Congress of Schoolchildren, students of 9-11 grades will present their scientific projects. 45 projects out of 270 submitted to the forum reached the final. The same day, the 3rd Media Forum will be held, the theme of which is "International Cooperation in the Media Sphere: Exchange of Experience and Best Practices." Representatives of 62 Russian media outlets, including federal ones, as well as Belarusian, will share their experience. Besides, the program of the first day includes the district stage of the national Sambo Competitions among students in memory of the honored USSR coach, professor E.M. Chumakov.
The EEYF grand opening and plenary session will take place on the second day of the forum at the IEC "Ekaterinburg-EXPO". Current issues of the global economy and the development of youth entrepreneurship will be discussed by government officials and diplomats, including ambassadors and consuls of Sri Lanka, Bolivia, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Syria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Senegal, and others. For the first time, the forum will be attended by an official representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan. All in all, there will be 35 diplomats participating in the event.
The plenary session will be attended by Artem Zhoga, Russian Presidential Envoy to the Urals Federal District, Yakov Silin, rector of Ural State University of Economics, and academician Valery Chereshnev, Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Chairperson of the Joint Academic Council of the Ural Branch of RAS for Medical Sciences. It is planned to present video addresses of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Olga Petrova, and the head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, Grigory Gurov.
The agenda of April 23 includes the international Diplomatic Forum devoted to "Economic Cooperation in the Eurasian Space: Synergy and Balance of Interests". It will be attended by 76 foreign and Russian officials of diplomatic missions.
The same day, the Forum of Rectors of Russian and foreign universities - “Russia and the World: Prospects for Cooperation in Science and Education" - will work. Its participants will be 89 heads of universities from Russia, Belarus, Tajikistan, Dagestan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Sri Lanka.
There will also be a grand opening of the Ural Queen rapid chess tournament.
The fourth day of the forum will end with the awarding of the winners of student scientific competitions. This year, the forum will offer 63 competitions. The organizing committee received applications for participation from all over the world: 17,600 papers were submitted, which covered different problems, from issues of urban environment to the use of artificial intelligence, and presented hundreds of business projects.
