The international competition of research papers "Ways to protect human and civil rights and freedoms" is held by the Urals State University of Economics (UrSEU) in cooperation with the Novosibirsk State University of Economics and Management "NINH" (NSUEM).

The purpose: fulfilment of creative potential of youth in solving problems of improving and developing existing legislation; increasing the interest of young people in the problems of protecting the rights and freedoms of citizens; facilitating the realisation of citizens' rights to judicial protection; involvement of youth in public administration through their participation in discussions of relevant legal issues; promoting the dissemination and development of legal culture among the youth; selecting high-potential projects for the preparation of law-making initiatives; selecting high-potential works for participation in other competitions at the regional and federal levels. 

The participants: students of colleges, technical schools, higher educational institutions, graduate students, applicants for a scientific degree, young scientists of universities, academic institutions of Russia and the CIS countries, as well as employees of other interested organizations aged 18 to 35 years.

Research papers for the Competition can be applied only from individual authors.

Research papers (essays) are submitted for the Competition in the following directions: 

1. "Realization and protection of the rights of citizens in the field of education".
2. "Tactics of working with a client in human rights activities."
3. "Realization and protection of the rights of juveniles on the Internet". 

Applications for participation in the Competition and competition works (essays) are submitted until March 20^th, 2024 through the registration system of the site. 

The lists of the finalists of the competition invited to face-to-face defense of works and to participate in the final events of the Forum will be published on the competition page from 1^st to 10^th of April 2024 

Full-time defense will take place on April 26^th, 2024 from 10:30 to 13:00, awarding on April 27^th, 2024  from 12.30 to 14:00. 

The winners and prize-winners of the Competition are awarded with diplomas and special prizes:

• 1^st place - 7 thousand rubles .
• 2^nd place - 5 thousand rubles .
• 3^rd place - 3 thousand rubles . 

The winners of the Competition, awarded with the Diploma of the 1^st degree, are awarded points for individual achievements in admission to study at USUE for master's programs - 2 points, bachelor 's programs (accelerated learning according to individual curricula - for graduates of colleges, technical schools) - 5 points. 

According to the results of the final events it is planned to publish a collection of materials of the XIV EEFM, where the essays of the Competition finalists will be placed.
