The International Essay Contest for young scientists and students "Modern Trends in Economic Development of the World" is organised by the Urals State University of Economics (UrSEU) in cooperation with the Urals Branch of the Free Economic Society of Russia. 

The purpose: creating a platform for young scientists and specialists to discuss the problems of improving the quality of specialist training, increasing the interest of young scientists and students in their chosen profession, identifying gifted young people and building human resources for research, administrative, industrial and entrepreneurial activities.

The participants: students of colleges, technical schools, higher educational institutions, graduate students, applicants for a scientific degree, young scientists of universities, academic institutions of Russia and the CIS countries, as well as employees of other interested organizations aged 18 to 35 years.

Research papers for the Competition can be applied only from individual authors. 

Research papers (essays) are submitted for the Competition in the following directions:

1. «Cross-cutting technologies of the digital economy».
2. «Multipolar world in focus of new reality».
3. «Current issues of forming the investment attractiveness of the country». 

Applications for participation in the Competition and competition works (essays) are submitted until March 20^th, 2024 through the registration system of the site. 

The lists of the finalists of the competition invited to face-to-face defense of works and to participate in the final events of the Forum will be published on the competition page from 1^st to 10^th of April 2024 

Participation in the Competition is also possible using remote technologies - registered participants and speakers get access to USUE cloud resources based on the MS Office 365 platform and connect to interactive sessions within the events through teams created in Microsoft Teams . 

The winners and prize-winners of the Competition are awarded with diplomas and special prizes:

• 1^st place - 7 thousand rubles
• 2^nd place - 5 thousand rubles
• 3^rd place - 3 thousand rubles 

The winners of the Competition, awarded with the Diploma of the 1^st degree, are awarded points for individual achievements in admission to study at USUE for master's programs - 2 points, bachelor 's programs (accelerated learning according to individual curricula - for graduates of colleges, technical schools) - 5 points. 

According to the results of the final events it is planned to publish a collection of materials of the XIV EEFM, where the essays of the Competition finalists will be placed.
