The international essay competition for young scientists and students "Modern Trends in World Economic Development" is held within the framework of the Congress of Strategists of the Eurasian Economic Youth Forum (hereinafter EEYF) and is implemented at the main site of the EEYF – the Ural State University of Economics, as well as at foreign and regional sites of the EEYF that have chosen this Competition. 

The purpose of the Competition is to create a platform for young scientists and specialists, which provides an opportunity to discuss the problems of improving the quality of training of specialists, increasing the interest of young scientists and students in their chosen profession, identifying gifted youth and building human resources for research, administrative, industrial and entrepreneurial activities. 

The participants of the Competition are students of colleges, technical schools, higher educational institutions, graduate students, applicants for a scientific degree, young scientists of universities, academic institutions of Russia and the CIS countries, as well as employees of other interested organizations aged 18 to 35 years.

Research papers for the Competition can only be submitted by individual authors. 

Competitive essays are submitted for the Competition in the following areas:

1. "Digital transformation in the economy".
2. "Problems of ensuring technological sovereignty of Russia".
3. "Social problems of forming a new world order". 

Applications for participation in the Competition and competition works (essays) are submitted until March 20^th, 2025 through the registration system of the site. 

The lists of the finalists of the competition invited to face-to-face defense of works and to participate in the final events of the Forum will be published on the competition page from the 1^st  to the 10^th of April 2025. 

Full-time defense will take place on April 23^rd, 2025 from 10:30 to 15:00, awarding on April 24^th, 2025  from 15.30 to 17:00.

Participation in the final of the Competition is also possible using remote technologies - registered participants and speakers get access to USUE cloud resources based on the MS Office 365 platform and connect to interactive sessions within the framework of events through teams created in Microsoft Teams (Kontur.Talk). 

The winners and prize-winners of the Competition are awarded with diplomas, orders and cash prizes:

• 1st place - 15 thousand rubles.
• 2 nd place - 10 thousand rubles.
• 3 rd place - 5 thousand rubles.

The winners of the Competition, awarded with the Diploma of the 1^st degree, are awarded points for individual achievements when admitted to study at USUE in bachelor's programs (accelerated training according to individual curricula - graduates of colleges, technical schools) - 5 points; in master's programs - 2 points.

Based on the results of the final events, it is planned to publish a collection of materials of the XV EEYF, where essays of the Competition finalists will be posted. The collection will be posted in the RSCI and on the website of the Ural State University of Economics.
