International competition of scientific research projects «We choose a life without addictions»
Kolberg Natalia Alexandrovna The international competition for scientific research projects entitled "Choosing a Life Without Addictions" (hereinafter referred to as "the Competition") is being held within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Youth Forum (EEYF) and will be hosted at the main venue of the EEYF, Ural State Economics University. The aim of the competition is to promote a healthy lifestyle free from addictions and involve young people in the fight against harmful habits such as drug use, alcohol and tobacco, internet addiction, and other types of addictive behaviors. The objectives of the competition are: To promote the popularization of values associated with a healthy lifestyle. To encourage participants to create a video that addresses social issues and promotes skills among young people aimed at personal development and the prevention of addictive behaviors. To foster the interest of young people in personal responsibility for their health, future, and life. To draw attention to the issue of dependent and co-dependent behaviors. To share knowledge, ideas, and experiences in using research methods. To raise awareness about youth dependence on psychoactive substances and implement measures to prevent drug abuse among students in higher education institutions through the organization of activities aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles among young people. Promotion of a healthy lifestyle among students in higher education institutions. Development and implementation of students' creative potential. Proposal of scientific and practical recommendations for creating additional conditions to support rehabilitation efforts for individuals with addiction issues and prevent the onset of substance abuse disorders. Participants: This project is open to students, undergraduates, graduates, young researchers, and other professionals from educational institutions of higher education in Russia and other countries under the age of 35 who are interested in contributing to the promotion of a healthier society and addressing drug-related issues. The team consists of a maximum of 3 people. Only one participant (one team) is allowed to submit one project to the competition. Participants apply for the competition by filling out a registration form on the dedicated website of EEYF. If a team prepares the work, one of its members registers as the team captain and submits the work, while the other members register as team members without submitting the work. Acceptance and registration of submissions for competitive research projects in selected fields (nominations) will be open until March 20, 2025. Projects will be verified for compliance with the project requirements. Lists of finalists qualifying for the USUE competition finals will be published on the competition page of the Economists and Financiers Congress on the EEYF website. Winners and prize winners of the competition will receive diplomas, awards, and cash prizes: 15,000 rubles for 1st place 10,000 rubles for the 2nd place 5,000 rubles for the 3rd place Winners of the competition, awarded with a diploma of the 1st degree will receive additional points (2 points) for individual achievements during application for master's programs at USUE. Following the final event, a collection of abstracts from the finalists will be published and posted on the RSCI and websites of the Ural State University of Economics.
