The international competition of scientific research works (projects) "Quality and safety of consumer goods and services as factors of sustainable development" is held by the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Ural State University of Economics" (Ural State University of Economics).

The purpose of the Competition: activation of scientific research work of students, undergraduates and graduate students of educational institutions, creative application of knowledge and practical skills related to topical issues of quality and safety of consumer goods at the national and global level.

Participants of the Competition: full-time and part-time students of secondary and higher educational institutions, undergraduates, graduate students and researchers of universities, research institutes, as well as other interested organizations under the age of 25.

Research papers for the Competition can only be submitted by individual authors.

Projects are submitted to the Competition in the following areas:

1. Quality and safety of consumer goods as factors of sustainable development
2. Directions for assortment formation: modern trends - high-quality and safe products
3. Principles and methods of commodity research, market research for consumer goods and raw materials, formation and management of assortment
4. Technology and merchandising of food products, functional and specialized products
5. Methods for monitoring quality indicators, safety, technological, functional and special orientation of raw materials, food products, food and biologically active additives and non-food products
6. Counterfeit and falsified products - modern methods of identification and detection of counterfeits
7. Standardization, certification and quality management of consumer goods and services

Applications for participation in the Competition, competition works and abstracts of work must be submitted until March 20, 2024 through the website registration system.

Lists of competition finalists invited to present their works in person and to participate in the final events of the Forum will be published on the competition page from April 1 to April 10, 2024.

In-person defense will take place on April 24, 2024 from 10:30 to 15:30, awarding on April 25, 2024 from 10:30 to 11:30

The winners and runners-up of the Competition are awarded diplomas and cash prizes:

• 15,000 rubles - for 1st place
• 10,000 rubles - for 2nd place
• 5,000 rubles - for 3rd place

Based on the results of the final events, it is planned to release a collection of abstracts of the Competition finalists with placement in the RSCI and on the websites of the Ural State  University of Economics.
