International Youth Research Competition «Consumer Goods and Services: Realities and Global Trends from Idea to Disposal»

Donskova Lyudmila Aleksandrovna Scientific Director of the "Consumer Goods and Services: Realities and Global Trends from Idea to Disposal" Competition, organizes the International Research Contest "Consumer Goods and Services: Global Trends and Realities from Idea to Disposal", which is held by Ural State University of Economics

The goal of the contest is to encourage students in secondary and higher education to conduct research and apply their knowledge creatively, as well as to develop practical skills related to important issues of quality and safety of consumer products at the national and international levels.

Participants in the competition include full-time and part-time students in secondary and post-secondary institutions, graduate students, and young researchers from universities and research institutes as well as other organizations that are interested in the subject, under the age of 25.

Research projects for the competition can only be submitted by individual applicants.

Projects are submitted in the following categories:

  1. Quality and safety of consumer goods
  2. Consumer goods market and challenges in forming a trading company's assortment
  3. Development of new food products as a means of ensuring food security
  4. Import substitution of consumer goods under current conditions
  5. Standardization and certification of consumer products

Applications, papers, and abstracts for participation in the competition must be submitted before March 20, 2025, through the registration system on the website.

A list of finalists who will present their work in person and participate in the final event of the forum will be published on April 1, 2025 on the competition page.

Face-to-face presentations will take place from April 23 to 24 at 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with the awards ceremony taking place on April 24 from 10:00 to 11:00.

The winners and prize-winners of the competition will be awarded with diplomas and monetary prizes:

  • 15,000 rubles for the first place
  • 10,000 rubles for the second place
  • 5,000 rubles for the third place

Winners of the competition who receive a diploma of the first degree will also receive points for individual achievements when applying for admission to master's programs at USUE (2 points).

Following the final events, a collection of abstracts from finalists will be published and posted on the RSCI website and the website of the Ural State University of Economics.
