Scientific and applied competition «FINANCIAL DESIGNER»

Tatyannikov Vasily Arkadyevich Scientific director of the competition

The aim of the competition is to foster a creative and innovative approach among young professionals to the analysis and design of financial products and services in the context of the digital economy.

Participants in the competition may include students, undergraduates, graduates, and young professionals working in the field of banking and finance under the age of 35.

Entries for the competition can be submitted individually or in teams of up to three members.

Submissions for the competition will be considered in the following categories:

  1. Insurance products
  2. Investment products
  3. Pension and collective investment products

Projects submitted for consideration must demonstrate a solid understanding of the relevant financial markets, industry trends, and regulatory frameworks. Entries must also demonstrate a clear and innovative approach to the design and development of financial solutions that meet the needs of modern consumers and businesses.

When determining the winners of the competition, priority will be given to works that demonstrate practical feasibility and social relevance of the issues addressed, originality of thought, and creative understanding of existing approaches to addressing the identified challenges.

Applications and entries for the competition must be submitted by March 20, 2025, through the online registration system on the event's website.

Individual participants submit an entry through the online system, selecting the "individual entry" option.

Group participants have the option of submitting a team entry. Each team member submits a separate entry through the system, selecting "team entry," and then either "team captain" or "team member." In the "Project Topic" field, each team member should indicate the name of the project they are working on. The team leader (or captain) will attach a project file to their entry form, listing all team members.

The lists of finalists for the competition will be published between April 1 and April 10, 2025 on the competition's website.

A master class for the finalists will be organized on April 22, 2025. On April 23, between 10:30 and 13:00, there will be a public defense of projects.

The awards ceremony will take place on April 24 (time TBD).

Participation in the competition is also possible via remote technologies. Registered participants and experts will have access to USUE's cloud resources and will connect to interactive sessions through teams created on Contour. A lot of sense.

Winners and prize-winners will receive diplomas, certificates, and cash prizes:

  • First place: 15,000 RUB
  • Second place: 10,000 RUB
  • Third place: 5,000 RUB

The winners of the competition, who were awarded a diploma of the first degree, receive points for their individual achievements when applying for admission to USUE's master's programs (2 points).

Based on the results of the final events, a collection of materials from the EEFM will be published, where the abstracts of finalists in the competition will be posted. This collection will be made available on the RSCI (Russian Science Citation Index) and on the official website of the Ural State University of Economics.
