International competition of research works of young scientists and students in a foreign language «Sociocultural ties as the basis of trusting relationships in the economy»

The international competition of research works of young scientists and students in a foreign language “Sociocultural ties as the basis of trusting relationships in the economy ” is organized by the Ural State University of Economics (USUE) in collaboration with the University "Máximo Gómez Báez" (Ciego de Avila, Cuba).

Purpose of the Competition: identification and development of participants' creative abilities and interest in research activities in the field of culture and its place in the national economy, promotion of scientific knowledge and substantiation of the importance of sociocultural ties as a qualitative factor in the economic development of countries and regions. The competition is held in order to motivate young people to innovative development, aimed at using the results of cultural and creative activities in expanding and strengthening economic ties.

Participants of the Competition: students, undergraduates, graduate students, applicants for an academic degree, young researchers from universities, academic institutions in Russia and foreign countries, as well as employees of other interested organizations aged 18 to 35 years.

Research works are submitted to the Competition in the following areas:

  1. Historical and cultural ties as a tool for deepening mutual understanding and developing economic cooperation;
  2. The influence of Russian culture on the socio-economic development of countries and regions. 

Completed works in a foreign language (English or Spanish), performed individually or in a team of two people, are submitted to the competition.

Applications for participation in the Competition, competition works and abstracts of work must be submitted until March 20, 2024 through the site's registration system.

Lists of Competition finalists invited to defend their works in person and to participate in the final events of the Forum will be published on the competition page from April 1 to April 10, 2024.

The in-person defense will take place on April 24, 2024 G . from 10:30 to 15:30, award ceremony - April 25 , 2024 from 11.30 to 13:30.

The final will be held in person; in some cases, by decision of the Organizing Committee of the Competition, remote participation is possible:

registered participants and experts gain access to USUE cloud resources based on the MS Office 365 platform and connect to interactive sessions during events through teams created in MicrosoftTeams. 

The winners and runners-up of the Competition are awarded diplomas, orders and cash prizes:

  • 1,5,000 rubles l – for 1st place
  • 10,000 rubles – for 2nd place
  • 5,000 rubles – for 3rd place 

The winners of the Competition, awarded a 1st degree Diploma, are awarded points for individual achievements when admitted to study at USUE in master's programs (2 points).

Based on the results of the final events, it is planned to release materials from the XIV EEFM, where the abstracts of the Competition finalists will be posted. The materials will be posted in the RSCI, on the website of the Ural State University of Economics and on the website of the EEFM.
