International Online Olympiad "Economics and Finance in a Polycentric World"

The International Online Olympiad "Economics and Finance in a Polycentric World" is organized by the Ural State University of Economics (USUE) as part of the Congress of Economists and Financiers. The Olympiad is dedicated to modern processes taking place in the economic and financial spheres in the context of the structural transformation of world economic relations and political turbulence observed in the recent years.
The purpose of the Olympiad is to increase the interest of people to obtaining and increasing economic knowledge by revealing their abilities for economic analysis and inclination to economic thinking, making objective relations between economic, political and social processes.
The participants of the Olympiad are students, undergraduates, graduate students, persons interested in modern problems of economics and finance, under the age of 35.
Applications for participation in the Olympiad are accepted until March 20, 2023 through the registration system of the EEYF website. Participation in the Olympiad is individual.
The Final of the Olympiad is held online, on the main competitive day of the Forum, in the form of a test fulfilled by participants on the specialized website of the Olympiad. The address of the specialized site and instructions for completing the tasks are sent in advance to an e-mail address of the participant specified during registration at the EEYF website.
On the main competitive day of the Forum, an access to tasks is opened. The duration of fulfilling the test task - 60 minutes. The number of questions - 40. The number of attempts to pass - 1.
All the tasks provide for assessment of professional competencies within the following disciplines: "World Economy", "Foreign Economic Activity", "National Economy", "Regional Economy", "Macroeconomics", "Money, Credit, Banks", "Finance", "Political Science", etc.
According to the test results, three winners are determined, who take I, II and III places, respectively, by the number of points scored.
The list of winners of the Olympiad is published on the Olympiad page of the EEYF website.
The awarding of the Olympiad winners will take place on April 27, 2023.
The winner and prize-winners of the Olympiad are awarded with diplomas, orders and cash prizes:
- 15 000 rubles - for 1st place
- 10 000 rubles - for 2nd place
- 5 000 rubles - for 3rd place
The winner of the Olympiad, awarded with a Diploma of the 1st degree, is also awarded points for individual achievements when admitted to study at USUE for master's programs (2 points).
