The International Online Olympiad on "Economics and Finance in a Polycentric World", organized by the Ural State University of Economics (USUE), aims to promote the interest of young individuals in acquiring and enhancing their economic knowledge. The event aims to identify the participants' abilities for economic analysis and their propensity for economic thought, while also establishing connections between economic, political, and social processes. 

Participants in the Olympiad are college, technical school, university, graduate, and postgraduate students, as well as young researchers, employees of organizations, and other interested individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 from Russia and the CIS countries. 

All tasks of the Olympiad assess the performance of professional competencies in the following disciplines: "World Economy", "Foreign Economic Activity", "National Economy", "Regional Economy", "Macroeconomics", "Money, Credit, Banks", and "Finance". 

Applications for participation and competitive work (essays) must be submitted by March 30, 2025 via the registration system on the website. 

The online Olympiad will take place on April 23, 2025, from 10:30 am.m. to 1 p.m., and the award ceremony will be held on April 24, 2025, from noon to 2 p.m.

Winners and prize-winning participants will receive diplomas, certificates, and cash prizes:

• 1st place - 15,000 rubles
• 2nd place - 10,000 rubles
• 3rd place - 5,000 rubles

The winners of the competition, awarded with a diploma of the 1st degree, receive points for individual achievements when applying to USUE for a master's program – 2 points, and for a bachelor's program (accelerated learning under individual curricula for graduates of colleges and technical schools) - 5 points.
