CTF Practice-oriented Information Security Competition Section (Capture The Flag)

CTF competition is a team competition of practice–oriented information security Capture The Flag, during which cyber attacks on IT infrastructure are simulated and work is underway to prevent them. Attacking (Red Team) and defending (Blue Team) teams take part. Red Team is an offensive security team (identifies weaknesses at any level of protection). The Blue Team is a monitoring and investigation team (identifies and prevents any threats). 

The purpose of the CTF competition is to improve the quality of training in the field of information security, as well as to popularize the field of cybersecurity among the population and students.

CTF Competition Objectives:

  •  identification of talented youth from the student community and identification of future prospects for their further development in the field of information security;
  • Stimulating interest in the operation, development, development and application of modern information security technologies;
  • formation of basic knowledge and practical skills in information security. 

Participants of the CTF competition: students of all forms of education, graduate students, scientists of educational organizations, academic institutes and other interested organizations in Russia at the age of 18 years. Participation in teams (up to 4 participants each).

Each individual participant or group member submits an application for participation through the registration system of the website, choosing the category "team participation", then "team captain" or "team member". In the "Job topic" field, everyone indicates the name of their team. The team captain attaches a file with all the team members to the registration form.

The registered teams will take part in the preliminary stage of the competition in a remote format from April 1 to April 14, 2025.

The lists of participating teams of the CTF competition finals, invited to the intramural stage to participate in the final competitions, will be published on the CTF competition page on April 20, 2026.

Section of the Computer sports Competition "Eurasia Esports 2026 student"

The annual USUE Eurasia Esports 2026 Student esports tournament is held in two stages: the first is online, where the strongest are eliminated from a large number of participants and the second is offline, which is held at an esports training ground. The competition is held by the Ural State University of Economics (USUE) in the discipline of real-time strategy StarCraft 2.

The purpose of the Contest: development of the field of esports and increasing interest in this field among students.

Contest participants: students, postgraduates, applicants for academic degrees, young researchers from universities, academic institutions in Russia and abroad, as well as employees of other interested organizations aged 18 to 35 years.

Each team member submits an application by choosing the category "team participation", then "team captain" or "team member". 

Section of the Computer sports Competition "Eurasia Esports 2026 student"

The annual USUE Sports Programming Competitions Championship is held in one stage: face-to-face competitions for their application in the economy of the future, financial and industrial spheres, science and education, as well as in management and international trade with Asian, African and Latin American countries. The competition is held by the Ural State University of Economics (USUE).

The purpose of the Competition is to promote the implementation of creative initiatives of young professionals in the field of programming for the IT industry of the global economy, business, manufacturing, services and scientific activities.

The participants of the Competition are students, postgraduates, applicants for academic degrees, young researchers from universities, academic institutions in Russia and abroad, as well as employees of other interested organizations aged 18 to 35 years.

Each team member submits an application by choosing the category "team participation", then "team captain" or "team member".

Registration for participation in the competition is made before March 20, 2026 through the registration system of the website.

The lists of teams participating in the final of the competition, invited to the intramural stage to participate in the final competitions, will be published on the CTF–competitions page until April 20, 2026.

The final of the Competition will be held on April 22, 2026 from 08:30 to 18:40, awarding ceremony on April 23, 2026 from 13:30 to 15:00

The winner and prize-winners of each section of the Student computer sports competitions "Eurasian Games of the Future" are awarded with diplomas and cash prizes:

  • 15,000 rubles - for 1st place
  • 10,000 rubles - for the 2nd place
  • 5,000 rubles . - for the 3rd place

The winner of the Competition, awarded with a Diploma of the 1st degree, is awarded points for individual achievements when applying to study at USUE under master's degree programs (2 points).
