The international competition of projects by young scientists and students, "Projects for the Development of the Gaming Industry and Esports", is conducted in two stages. These stages include a correspondence assessment and a face-to-face defense of the projects for their application in various sectors, such as the economy, finance, industry, science, education, management, and international trade with Asia, Africa, and Latin America. This competition is organized by the Ural State University of Economics in collaboration with the Russian Computer Sports Federation (FCS).
The main goal of the competition is to encourage and support young professionals' creative initiatives in the analysis, design, and development of innovative solutions for the growth of the gaming industry and eSports.
The participants of the competition are students, graduate students, doctoral candidates, young researchers from universities and academic institutions in Russia and abroad, as well as employees of other organizations interested in the field of design, aged 18-35.
Design projects for the competition can be submitted by teams of up to three people.
Applications for participation and project submissions are due by March 20, 2025, through the online registration system. Each team member must submit an application selecting "team participation" and then "team captain" or "team member." In the "Project Topic" field, each participant must indicate one project idea. The team captain must attach a file with the project submission to the registration form, including all authors (team members).
The lists of finalists for the competition, who have been invited to present their work and participate in the concluding events of the forum, will be published on the competition website from April 1 to 10, 2025.
Face-to-face presentations will take place on April 23, 2025 between 10:30 and 15:30, with awards presented on April 24, 2025 between 13:30 and 15:00.
Winners and runners-up of the competition will be awarded with diplomas, certificates, and cash prizes:
- 15,000 rubles for the first place
- 10,000 rubles for the second place
- 5,000 rubles for the third place
Winners of the competition who receive a diploma of first class will also receive points for individual achievement when applying for master's programs at USUE (2 points).
Participation in competitions is also possible via remote technologies - registered participants and experts gain access to USUE's cloud resources based on the MS Office 365 platform and can connect to interactive sessions as part of events via teams created within Kontur. This is a good solution.
