International competition of applied projects of young scientists and student «Minecraft: University of the Future»

The international competition is held within the framework of the Digital Eurasia Congress of the Eurasian Economic Youth Forum (hereinafter EEYF) and is implemented at the main site of the EEYF - the Ural State University of Economics, as well as at foreign and regional sites of the EEYF that have chosen this Competition. "Minecraft: University of the Future" is held in two stages: correspondence assessment and face-to-face defense of projects for their application in the economy of the future, financial and industrial spheres, science and education, as well as in management and international trade with countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America.
The goal of the Competition is to inspire participants not only to be creative, but also to think about how technology, sustainability and innovation can improve education in the future.
The main tasks include:
l Innovative educational spaces: Build campuses, classrooms, and labs that leverage new technologies such as virtual and augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and automation.
l Sustainability: Create an energy-efficient and environmentally friendly university that uses renewable energy sources, recycling systems and bio-architecture.
l Social Integration and Inclusion: Design a campus that promotes inclusion, where students of different cultures, ages, and abilities can comfortably learn and grow together.
l Flexible learning spaces: Create areas that support both independent learning and collaborative projects, with an emphasis on flexibility and transformability of space.
l Digital learning and access to knowledge: Develop a system where digital technologies help students from anywhere in the world participate in the learning process, where education becomes accessible and open to all.
These tasks can guide participants in creating a unique and inspiring vision for the university that reflects the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.
Competition participants: students, postgraduates, degree seekers, young researchers from universities, academic institutes in Russia and foreign countries, as well as employees of other interested organizations aged 18 to 35 years.
Project works for the Competition can be submitted by teams of up to 3 people.
Applications for participation in the Competition and competition works are submitted until March 20, 2025, through the website registration system. Each team member submits an application by selecting the category "team participation", then "team captain" or "team member". In the "Topic of work" field, all participants indicate one topic of the project. The team captain attaches a file with the competition project to the registration form, where all authors (team members) are indicated.
The lists of competition finalists invited to defend their works in person and to participate in the final events of the Forum will be published on the competition page from April 1 to 10, 2025.

The winners and prize winners of the Competition will be awarded with diplomas, orders and cash prizes:
- 15,000 rubles - for 1st place
- 10,000 rubles - for 2nd place
- 5,000 rubles - for 3rd place
The winners of the Competition, awarded a 1st degree Diploma, are awarded points for individual achievements when applying for admission to study at USUE in master's programs (2 points).
Participation in competitions is also possible using remote technologies - registered participants and experts gain access to USUE cloud resources based on the MS Office 365 platform and connect to interactive sessions within the events through teams created in Microsoft Teams.
