The case-championship focused on projects related to technological innovation and digital sovereignty in the industry

The case championship is a team competition with a thematic focus, in which participants join forces to develop and present a prototype solution to a specific problem related to the digital sovereignty of an industrial client.

The goal of the championship is to foster the implementation of innovative ideas from young professionals in the realm of information technology and digital solutions.

Objectives of the case competition include:

  • Identifying talented individuals from the student population and identifying their future potential for development and employment within the industrial sector.
  • Stimulating interest in the operation, development, and advancement of modern information systems and digital technologies that contribute to the digital independence of the Russian industry.
  • Providing participants with fundamental knowledge and practical skills related to the case competition's topic. 

Participants in the case championship will be students from all levels of education, postgraduate students, researchers from educational institutions, academic institutes, and other organizations interested in the event in Russia between the ages of 18 and 35. Teams will consist of up to three participants. 

Applications for participation must be submitted by March 20, 2025, through the online registration system on the website.

Individual participants or team members should submit an application through the registration system, selecting the category for team participation, then either the role of team captain or team member. In the "Project Topic" field, each participant should indicate the name of their proposed project. The captain will attach a project file to their registration form, listing all authors of the project. 

The finalists' lists for the competition, who have been invited to participate in face-to-face project presentations and final events of the forum, will be published on the competition website from April 1 to 10, 2025. 

Face-to-face presentations will take place on April 23, 2025, from 10:30 am.m. to 3 p.m., with awards being presented on April 24, 2025, at 1:30 p.m.

 Remote participation in the case competition is also possible, with registered participants and expert panel members accessing USUE cloud resources based on MS Office 365 and connecting to interactive sessions through teams created within Microsoft Teams. 

Winners and prize recipients of the case competition will receive diplomas, certificates, and monetary awards:

  • 15,000 rubles for first place
  • 10,000 rubles for second place
  • 5,000 rubles for third place  

The winner of the competition, who was awarded a Diploma of 1st Degree, receives points for their individual achievements when applying for admission to USUE's master's programs (2 points).
