The competition is held in order to find out to what extent its participants, using a video as a form of presentation of the competitive material and digital technologies for its distribution through social networks, are able to assess the nature of the influence of an individual on the socio-economic development of a country, region, locality, and also build the most important relationships between heroism and patriotism. 

Competition objectives:

1. Increasing the level of youth interest in economic sciences and in the development of socially useful projects in the economy and related fields.
2. Formation in the younger generation of personal responsibility for the state and state of affairs in the socio-economic sphere of Russia and awareness of their role and place in the socio-economic development of the country.
3. Identification of potential personnel whose projects are of value to the economy and of interest to potential employers. 

The participants of the competition are students of colleges, technical schools, higher educational institutions, graduate students, applicants for a scientific degree, young scientists of universities under 35 years. Full-time participation is envisaged, including as part of teams from organizations, educational institutions, regardless of the field of activity and position. Team composition up to 10 people. 

Applications for participation in the contest are submitted until March 20 th, 2023 through the registration system of the site. 

Videos are submitted to the “Hero of Our Time” contest via e-mail slava@usue.ru simultaneously with the application to the e-mail of the coordinator until March 20, 2023 in the following areas:

1. "The hero is a teacher of an educational institution."
2. "The hero is an urban entrepreneur."
3. "The hero is the mentor of the city enterprise." 

Full-time defense will take place on April 26^th, 2023 from 10:30 to 15:30, awarding on April 27^th, 2023 from 12.30 to 14:00. 

The plan of the competition on 26.04.2023:

• 10:00–11:00 – registration of participants;
• 11:00–11:30 – reports of the leaders of scientific areas of the Competition in the format of a plenary session, distribution of participants into working groups according to the topics of the Competition;
• 11:30–12:30 – demonstration of videos by teams with comments (up to 5 minutes);
• 12:30–13:30 – preparation and execution of competitive tasks as part of teams;
• 13:30-14:30 - summarizing the work of the expert commission on the evaluation of competitive materials submitted by participants (groups), as well as the results of their performance of competitive tasks. 

Competition Winners and Prize-winners awarded with diplomas and cash prizes:

• for 1^st place - 7 thousand rubles.
• for 2^nd place - 5 thousand rubles.
• for 3^rd place - 3 thousand rubles. 

The winners of the competition, awarded with the Diploma of the 1st degree, are awarded points for individual achievements in admission to study at USUE for master's programs -2 points; bachelor's degree (training according to individual curricula in an accelerated period - graduates of colleges, technical schools) -5 points.
