21 April 2021, the 5th festival of cultures Around the World in 7 Days was held at Ural State University of Economics supported by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs. The festival was a bright continuation of the XI Eurasian Economic Youth Forum.

The representatives of Georgia, Ukraine, African countries, Tajikistan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, and China and other participants presented national dishes, costumes, folklore, and folk crafts. The guests of the evening could try Armenian baklava, Chechen jerked meat, and Chinese spicy celery, as well as take photos in a Georgian burka and papakha, Chuvash helmet, and Tajik tubeteyka. The participating countries made video presentations of their states and their people.

Anyone can learn how to cook national dishes: for this, video masterclasses Cuisine of the World have been prepared within the framework of the festival. You can become acquainted with them on the website of the project partner — Association of culinary specialists and restaurateurs of the Sverdlovsk region.

The participants of the festival enjoyed visiting masterclasses in folk painting, fine arts, and bead weaving.

The National Youth Council of Russia introduced the guests to the national games Langa and Five Stones.

The Festival of Cultures and the Ball of Friendship gathered more than 500 guests at the USUE House of Culture. The event was opened by USUE rector Yakov Silin: “I believe that everyone present in this hall will come to us again. We are looking forward to your proposals on how to make the next forum more interesting, large-scale, and promising. We are ready to hold EEYF-2022 at the sites of different countries, and here, in Yekaterinburg, at the suggestion of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region, Yevgeny Kuyvashev, some of the forum events, including the plenary session, will be held at the world-class site of Yekaterinburg-EXPO. We will invite more offices of diplomatic corps, representatives of enterprises, and employers to meet with students. And there will be even more events dedicated to the national spirit of the countries-guests of the forum.”

The event continued with dances and songs of the peoples of the world. The Lezginka masterclass has become a bright and catching point for all participants of the festival.
