The results of the XI Eurasian Economic Youth Forum "Russia and the regions of the world: the embodiment of ideas and the economy of opportunities" were summed up. Vice-rector for social work of USUE Roman Krasnov outlined the main achievements and the following goals of the annual international event.

The EEYF, which long time ago received the well-deserved title of "the main youth event of the Urals", in 2021 was held at USUE from April 20 to 23, gathered more than 5,000 participants from 64 countries and 74 Russian regions, including representatives of 106 universities from Russia and the CIS countries. The guests of honor of the forum were 19 heads of diplomatic missions of foreign states, 39 representatives of diplomatic corps and 12 consulates. Every year the number and geography of participants in the Eurasian Economic Youth Forum is rapidly expanding.

It is becoming clear that an event of this magnitude requires large areas. At the plenary session of the last EEYF, the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Yevgeny Kuyvashev made a proposal to hold it in 2022 at the Yekaterinburg-EXPO International Exhibition Center. “For the first time in the history of the EEYF, we held an event in two formats at once: face-to-face and online - for representatives of universities from far abroad. Our partners this year are the largest Russian universities: the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, RUDN University, Moscow state Institute for International Relations, Moscow State University and the State Institute of the Russian Language. A.S. Pushkin. I would also like to note that the number of universities in the CIS countries exceeded the number of Russian universities among the participants, which testifies to the growing international interest in our event, ”said Roman Krasnov.

Thanks to the participation of foreign ambassadors in the EEYF, USUE contributes to the implementation of the tasks set by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation on the export of education, and strengthens its international position.

The XI EEYF also surpassed the indicators of previous years in terms of the number of scientific research competitions. There were 42 of them, which is 6 more than at the previous forum, many were organized jointly with experts from partner universities. Roman Krasnov also recalled the importance of continuing to work with the winners and prize-winners of the congresses. This year more than 3 hundred participants became them. Over the 6-year history of the forum, about a hundred finalists of various competitions of the EEYF  continued their studies in the bachelor's, master's and postgraduate studies at USUE.
